I hope everyone is healthy and staying safe. These are strange and interesting times. Today I wanted to take a moment and reach out to you and make sure you are keeping up with your routine, staying present and reaching out/reaching in. I made a little video (trying out new things since I am sheltered in place). Let me know what you think and how you are staying in routine.

Delpha thanks for reaching out! I too and trying to keep with my routine. I get up let the dog out, have my coffee. Then i set the table for the kids breakfast, get dressed and then off to my dining room table to start my work. I have some big changes in that usually i am waking the kids up relatively early but now they don’t have to get up too early and they simply eat breakfast then join me at my dining table aka my new conference table. Homeschooling two kids while working is a bit of a struggle but it’s going well! I try to make time for myself by walking each day with my sister who leaves near by. We discuss the reality of what’s going on and it helps me make it through the day! I am trying to keep positive thoughts. I love the idea of a virtual happy hours!!

Thanks for doing this, Delpha. I share a lot of the same feelings that you are having during this crazy time. I love your advice. I am trying to take it day by day, but sometimes I do start to think about how long this will go on and worry about me or a loved one getting sick. I think that’s why your “reach in then reach out” technique is so important.

Delpha thanks for the video. Keeping my exercise, healthy eating routine and adding in a walk with the dog on the days that have been nice out. My office window looks down my street and the amount of neighbors put with their kids is awesome. I love the reflection and am working on focusing on Gratitude during this uncertain time. I’m hopeful we all keep some of this slowing down and a simpler life and return to a new normal. Jen

Great points! All relevant. I’m still keeping my same routine as well. Walking the dog, exercising and cooking. Thanks again!

Great message Delpha. As a virtual employee, I am accustomed to a certain amount of isolation. However, it is different with this pandemic. My husband, a first responder, and my sister, a nurse who is testing individuals for the virus, are out there every day dealing with this. They have been for weeks now. I worry (endlessly it feels) about them and many others. I feel helpless in being able to do for them, and I am very distracted.
